Ingredients

Scale
  • 21 oz can of berry pie filling (e.g., mixed berry)
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Mix the Base: In a Ninja Creami pint container, combine the berry pie filling and lemon juice. Stir gently to mix, ensuring not to exceed the max fill line. Add lemon zest and stir until evenly incorporated. Smooth the top of the mixture with a spoon.
  2. Freeze: Secure the lid on the pint container and place it on a flat surface in your freezer. Freeze for at least 24 hours or until completely solid.
  3. Process in Ninja Creami: Remove the frozen pint from the freezer and take off the lid. Place the pint into the outer bowl of your Ninja Creami machine, lock the outer bowl lid, and select the “Sorbet” function. Let the cycle run fully.
  4. Adjust Texture if Needed: If the sorbet appears crumbly after processing, use the “Re-spin” function once or twice until smooth and creamy.
  5. Serve & Enjoy: Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy immediately!

Notes

Serving Suggestions:

  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves or extra lemon zest for a pop of color and flavor.
  • Use as a base for smoothie bowls topped with granola, fresh fruit, or shredded coconut.

Tips & Tricks:

  • For best results, use fresh lemons for both juice and zest.
  • Flattening the mixture before freezing ensures even processing.
  • If using sugar-free pie filling, taste-test after processing to adjust sweetness.

Storage & Reheating:

  • Store leftovers in the pint container with its airtight lid for up to two weeks in the freezer.
  • Before serving again, let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes or re-spin in the Ninja Creami to restore creaminess.
