These watermelon popsicles are a simple, healthy, and hydrating treat for dogs. Made with just two wholesome ingredients—watermelon and plain yogurt—they’re perfect for hot summer days. Quick to prepare and freezer-friendly, these treats are a delightful way to show your pup some love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups watermelon, cut into chunks (seedless or seeds removed)
  • ¼ cup plain yogurt (unsweetened, no artificial sweeteners)

Substitutions:

  • Use coconut milk instead of yogurt for a dairy-free option.
  • Add a teaspoon of honey if the watermelon isn’t naturally sweet.

Ingredient Notes:
Choose ripe, juicy watermelon for the best flavor. If using seeded watermelon, ensure all black seeds are removed as they can be harmful to dogs.

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients:
Cut the watermelon into chunks and remove any black seeds. Ensure the yogurt is unsweetened and at room temperature for easier blending.
  2. Blend Mixture:
Combine the watermelon chunks and yogurt in a blender. Blend until smooth and pourable. The mixture should be silky with no chunks.
  3. Fill Molds:
Place silicone molds or ice cube trays on a baking sheet for stability. Pour the blended mixture into the molds, filling them almost to the top.
  4. Freeze Until Solid:
Transfer the molds to the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours or until completely solid.
  5. Store & Serve:
Pop the frozen treats out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the freezer. Serve one treat at a time as a cooling snack for your dog.
