A refreshing, tangy, and creamy frozen treat made with simple ingredients like mandarin oranges and a touch of optional sweetness. Perfect for summer days or a light dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz canned mandarin orange slices (in their own juice)
  • 2 tablespoons monk fruit sweetener (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Base: In a medium bowl, combine mandarin orange slices (with juice) and monk fruit sweetener, if using. Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  2. Freeze the Mixture: Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container, ensuring it stays below the MAX FILL line. Secure the lid and freeze on a flat surface for at least 24 hours.
  3. Process in the Ninja Creami: Remove the pint from the freezer and place it into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami. Attach the paddle to the lid, secure it, and process using the “Sorbet” setting.
  4. Adjust Texture (If Needed): If the sherbet is crumbly, use the “Re-spin” function once or twice. Add 1–2 tablespoons of juice or water if necessary to achieve a creamy consistency.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy immediately!

Notes

Serving Suggestions:

  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a sprinkle of orange zest for an elegant touch.
  • Pair with fresh berries or serve alongside shortbread cookies for added texture.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Taste your base before freezing to adjust sweetness if needed.
  • Use canned mandarins in light syrup for extra sweetness if monk fruit sweetener isn’t available.

Storage & Reheating:

  • Store leftovers in the Ninja Creami pint container with the lid tightly sealed for up to one week in the freezer.
  • Re-spin in the Ninja Creami before serving again; add a splash of juice if crumbly after refreezing.
