Bring the magic of Disney home with this creamy, tropical Dole Whip made in the Ninja Creami! Bursting with pineapple flavor, a hint of banana, and a touch of coconut, this homemade version is smooth, refreshing, and perfect for sunny days.

Ingredients

Scale

Ice Cream Base:

  • 1 cup (165 g) canned pineapple (in juice, drained)
  • 1 medium ripe banana (optional; see notes)
  • 2½ teaspoons powdered sugar
  • ½ cup (118 ml) unsweetened coconut milk (canned)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Mix-ins:

  • 3 tablespoons reserved pineapple juice (from the canned pineapple)

Instructions

  1. Blend the Base: In a blender or food processor, combine the drained pineapple, banana, powdered sugar, coconut milk, and lime juice. Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  2. Freeze the Mixture: Pour the blended mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container. Freeze uncovered on a flat surface for 24 hours at -7°F to 9°F.
  3. Process in the Ninja Creami: After freezing, place the pint container in the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami and process on the “Ice Cream” setting.
  4. Re-spin for Soft Serve Texture: Add 1 tablespoon of reserved pineapple juice to the processed mixture and re-spin. Repeat until you achieve a soft serve-like consistency.
  5. Serve & Enjoy: Scoop into bowls or cones immediately and enjoy your homemade Dole Whip!

Notes

Serving Suggestions:

  • Garnish with fresh pineapple chunks, toasted coconut flakes, or a cherry on top for a classic look.
  • For a Dole Whip float, serve with chilled pineapple juice poured over it.

Tips & Tricks:

  • If you prefer no banana flavor, replace it with an extra ½ cup of pineapple and add ⅛ teaspoon guar gum for creaminess.
  • Ensure your freezer is at the right temperature to avoid uneven freezing.

Storage & Reheating Instructions:

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks. To restore creaminess, add 1–2 tablespoons of liquid (pineapple juice or milk) and re-spin before serving.
