This creamy, dreamy cake batter ice cream tastes just like licking the bowl of your favorite birthday cake batter—only better because it’s frozen! Perfect for celebrations or a sweet treat any day, this easy recipe comes together with just a few ingredients and the magic of the Ninja Creami.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons instant vanilla pudding mix
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon cake batter flavor extract

Optional: Add ¼–½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract for extra depth or sprinkles for a fun mix-in.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: In a mixing bowl or liquid measuring cup, whisk together whole milk and pudding mix until fully dissolved. Stir in heavy cream and cake batter extract until well combined.
  2. Freeze the Mixture: Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container, ensuring it doesn’t exceed the max fill line. Secure the lid and place it on a flat surface in your freezer for at least 24 hours, or until completely solid.
  3. Process in the Ninja Creami: Remove the frozen pint from the freezer and place it into the Ninja Creami’s outer bowl. Lock it into place and press the “Ice Cream” button.
  4. Adjust Texture if Needed: If the ice cream appears crumbly after processing, add 1–2 tablespoons of milk to the pint and press “Re-spin.” Repeat as needed until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add Mix-ins (Optional): For added fun, create a small crater in the center of your ice cream, add sprinkles or chocolate chips, and use the “Mix-In” function to incorporate them evenly.
  6. Serve & Enjoy: Scoop into bowls or cones, top with sprinkles if desired, and savor every bite!

Notes

Serving Suggestions:

Serve this ice cream as is or pair it with slices of birthday cake for a festive dessert. It’s also great with a drizzle of caramel or chocolate sauce.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Use high-quality milk and cream for the creamiest texture.
  • If leftovers harden in the freezer, let them sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before scooping or reprocess them in your Ninja Creami using the “Ice Cream” function.

Storage:

Store leftovers in an airtight pint container for up to one month in the freezer. Smooth out the top before sealing to minimize ice crystals.
