This creamy, homemade coffee ice cream is a rich, flavorful treat for coffee lovers. Made with just five simple ingredients, it’s easy to whip up using a Cuisinart ice cream maker. Perfect for summer days or as an indulgent dessert after dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: In a medium bowl, whisk together whipping cream, sugar, and milk until the sugar fully dissolves. Stir in vanilla extract and cooled brewed coffee until combined.
  2. Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and ensure faster freezing during churning.
  3. Churn the Ice Cream: Pour the chilled mixture into your pre-frozen Cuisinart ice cream maker bowl. Turn on the machine and churn for about 25–30 minutes or until the mixture thickens to a soft-serve consistency.
  4. Freeze Until Firm: Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours for a firmer texture before serving.

Notes

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve in bowls or waffle cones with whipped cream or chocolate shavings for garnish.
  • Pair with brownies or cookies for an indulgent dessert combo.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Ensure the ice cream maker bowl is frozen solid (at least 24 hours in advance).
  • Use freshly brewed coffee for a bold flavor or decaf for a caffeine-free version.
  • Taste the mixture before churning to adjust sweetness or coffee intensity.

Storage & Reheating:

  • Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks. Place plastic wrap directly on top of the ice cream to prevent freezer burn.
  • Let it sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping if frozen solid.
